As we start a New Year, companies—and their products—are competing for attention like never before. The same generalization happens in the credit department. Set your company apart from the plain and ordinary. Focus on getting noticed. Do something that makes your customer remember you. Maybe that will put you at the top of the payment list.
Call occasionally to see how they are doing, without asking for payment. They will probably wonder for days, why you ‘really’ called.
Get some personal information…do they have pets, children, or a hobby you can ask about?
Their curiosity will peak when you call without bringing up ‘money’.
If you can just find a way to make them remember you and your company without negativity, maybe you will be paid sooner or invoices processed quicker.
Try using uniqueness to encourage customers to focus more on your company.
