BPCA™ is a Credit based Trade Association unlike most others.
Unlike credit associations that “try to be everything to everybody”, BPCA™ limits its scope and involvement to specific industry groups and limits its membership to manufacturers, wholesalers and factors in those industries. From 1875 until 1992, BPCA™ dealt only in the Office Products, Stationery, and Filing supplies industries. Since 1992, BPCA™ expanded its industries to include office products, office & institutional furniture, office machines, school supplies, janitorial & sanitary supplies, paper, arts & graphics, fine writing instruments and scrap booking. If you are not sure if there is an industry group for your business, call BPCA™ at (636) 272-3005.As a member, you are able to obtain low cost Industry Focus Payment Information and Scoring reports. Customers are Scored within the industry group, and also on non-industry trade payment information. Reports are online and available over a secured Internet connection. Members enter Alerts online and immediate e-mail notification is sent to you if it is your customer. BPCA™ provides the opportunity for members to meet with their peers to discuss common topics and share best practices. All meetings are moderated and monitored by a BPCA™ staff person for full compliance of the antitrust laws. Are you Plagued by the stress of Deductions? BPCA™ has a National Manufacturers Deduction Resolution Group ("NDRG") which is a separate membership from the Credit Groups. The National Deduction Resolution Group is open to any manufacturer or wholesaler - any industry - not just BPCA™ credit group members. This Group meets 3 times a year (January, at the Annual Credit Conference, and in September) Is Your Customer Experiencing Difficulty Paying Invoices?At times, BPCA™ finds the debtor is suffering from a temporary cash flow problem, and is able to bring the debtor and creditors to the table to work out an informal plan to bring all creditors current over a period of time. Unfortunately, there are times when it is best for a debtor to be placed in bankruptcy. BPCA™ continues to keep its membership informed about bankrupt debtors. BPCA™ has served as secretary to official and informal committees of unsecured creditors. While BPCA™ has limited the number of industries it works with, it may be able to provide your industry with the same type of partnership association you need.
